Participating in the pre-cana course was an invaluable experience. Many of the questions led us to deeper conversations about topics that either we’ve already talked about at some point in our relationship but with less detail or in other cases were ones that we had never touched upon until now. This course allowed us to learn even more about each other, such as during our conversation about the deeper view we have on our parents and the role they play in our lives individually and as a whole.
In fact, we often found ourselves going on tangents into related topics and it really allowed us to connect with each other on a deeper level. Overall, this course truly allowed Nick and I to grow even closer to each other and love and respect each other even more. This experience paved a clear understanding of the future that we have ahead of us and the commitment we are making as we are not only promising each other but also God of the love and support we will always share as we become one. I believe all couples should take this course if they want to build a deeper connection with their partner and God. – Nataly
This course was excellent in developing new and organic conversations between my fiancé and I. It wasn’t just the questions on each PDF, but it led us to more thought and more questions each time. You can easily go off on tangents which I loved. It would start with us sharing our thoughts from the PDF to realizing we spent the last 20 minutes on one question talking about a new relevant topic. Simply put, this was very helpful and enjoyable.
One item I am particularly looking forward to is reviewing the information we wrote down in the future. I think we can look back on this and reflect on our answers to see how true or swayed we come from everything we wrote prior to our wedding date. I do want to add that the inclusion of two guided conversations at the end to be completed in the future are also great additions to the course.
Staying true to the Sacrament of Marriage is important and not only viewed on your wedding day. It’s the future that follows that is important and the guidance of this course reflected this. I would tell other couples – The online Pre-Cana course offers flexibility to tailor to the needs of any couples seeking the Sacrament of Marriage. The course connects you to God while bringing you closer to the person you love. My fiancé and I were able to have strong conversations that developed into something even deeper than what was listed in each session.
I would also like to express both our pleasures in the flexibility this online course offered. What began as a small route to a civil wedding in a courthouse changed to a dreamt about small intimate wedding with the shadowing and presence of God. My mom helped us make this possible by asking a simple question to Father Valdi after her Bible study – “Have you ever done a trilingual marriage?” One thing led to another and now we graciously have the pleasure of getting married at my home Parish.
