What was most helpful for me was how the course made us slow down and talk through the parts of marriage that can quietly create stress if you avoid them, like communication, money, family boundaries, faith, and how we’ll share responsibilities at home. I enjoyed that it felt like we were building something together, not just answering questions. It contributed to my understanding by reminding me that our vows are meant to shape how we treat each other in everyday life. To other couples, I’d say be honest and take your time. – Janelle
What was most helpful for me was that it gave us a structure to have conversations we might have put off otherwise. I enjoyed that it wasn’t just about feelings, it pushed us to think about habits, decisions, and how we’ll handle challenges as a unit. It contributed to my understanding by reminding me that this is more than a commitment to each other but also to God. To other couples, I’d say take it seriously and actually talk through the questions together because it helps you start marriage more united. – Mike
