Throughout my experience with Pre-Cana, I felt that I gained more knowledge of myself, Joseph & our relationship as a whole. This experience was something truly beautiful that brought us closer. We looked forward to each session and getting to be in our most vulnerable states together. For me, I enjoyed “Children & Money” the most. Both of these sessions helped us talk about our future together & what we need to do in order to make sure we will be successful and how we will handle hardships. This course has definitely prepared me for the Sacrament of Marriage.
I feel closer to God now than I did prior to this course. It helped me think about how I will be a great wife to Joseph, how I will be a better communicator and how to be more open and honest in our marriage. When discussing this to other couples, I will tell them to go into this with an open mind and heart. To be vulnerable during this experience, listen to your partner and what they are saying, and to take as much in as possible. I would also recommend completing this slowly like we did so we could be fully present and enjoy every session to its fullest. – Maria
Through my experience with Pre-Cana I feel that this brought us closer together as a couple as we enjoyed doing each one and looked forward to doing them as well. I think we hit all of the key points to protecting our relationship as time will pass by. It is important to me that we must always communicate through any obstacle that comes our way, which we know is inevitable. We are a team and it will always be me and her against the problem rather than me vs her. Team work makes the dream work. I feel that keeping God in our life will always bring us closer together. I believe that God already did his part by putting her in my life and giving me the greatest blessing. It is up to us to hold each other accountable and always push through the obstacles that comes our way. This exercise was very helpful to us and it touched many important parts. – Joseph
