These lessons were a good way for Derek and I to take a pause and focus on our relationship, beyond the upcoming wedding. I enjoyed the guided questions as it allowed me to think about some topics that we hadn’t already discussed. For example, if one of us got a job in a different province, country etc. It also gave us time to reflect on both of our strengths as a couple and areas of opportunity. I enjoyed how the lessons reminded us that marriage requires teamwork, communication, and shared values – even if our beliefs don’t necessarily match. I’d encourage other couples to complete the lessons as a chance to build upon their relationships foundation and find a deeper understanding and connection before saying “I Do’. – Michelle
This experience I believe was very helpful because it opened different avenues of communication between Michelle and I. I also believe any issues Michelle had I will become a better husband and listen more to her and ask more questions to help resolve them. This course helped me understand how my partner is the most important thing, and we should always work together and not against each other when problems arise. I would say to others that marriage is all about communication and always being open with each other. I also realized from this course has taught me how important it is to always be a TEAM IN A MARRIAGE and always work with each other and not against each other. – Derek
