Attending the Pre-Cana course was a surprisingly enriching experience. What I found most enjoyable was that it helped provide for deep conversations with Ed that we might not have had otherwise. The sessions encouraged us to reflect on important relationship conversations, conflict resolution, family expectations, and faith. Also, hearing different couples’ stories helped us feel less alone in our challenges and questions.
One of the most helpful parts of Pre-Cana was that we both walked away with a better understanding of ourselves as individuals and as a team. For other couples preparing for marriage, I’d say this course is well worth it. Even if you think you’ve talked about everything already, Pre-Cana will help bring up new topics and give you both better understanding of each other. – Ashley
My experience with the Pre-Cana course was both meaningful and helped open our eyes. One of the most enjoyable parts was having alone time to focus on our relationship. Life can get busy, so it felt special to slow down and really invest in preparing for our marriage blessing. The course was very welcoming as a space where we could reflect on important topics like communication, expectations, intimacy, and faith. It wasn’t just lectures, and it included moments of humor, and shared stories from married couples that made the material feel real.
What I found most helpful were the deep conversations we hadn’t fully explored before. It helped us identify areas where we were strong and others where we needed to grow. For other couples, I’d say it’s a valuable opportunity to build a stronger foundation for your future together, and it provides growth that continues in life. – Edward
