Hi Dr. Rev. Frank, I just wanted to thank you for such a helpful and meaningful pre-Cana course. My fiancé and I are so grateful we had the opportunity to sit down and go through these important conversations together. It truly opened up topics that many couples don’t always think to discuss in depth. I especially appreciated the section on celebrating anniversaries. It’s such an essential reminder for married couples to honor their relationship milestones. I actually printed that part out and plan to keep it handy for when we reach our one-year anniversary! I’m already looking forward to it.
The conversations about families and how we were raised really stood out to us. We talked about the values we each want to carry forward in raising our future children, as well as some of the habits or patterns we hope to adopt differently. It was powerful to reflect on how our upbringings shaped us. We also found that we were very much aligned when it comes to finances. Having been together for 11 years, we’ve always shared money and similar views on managing money, avoiding unnecessary debt and planning for our future. It was reassuring to see that we’re still on the same page.
My experience with the Pre-Cana course was both meaningful and helped open our eyes. One of the most enjoyable parts was having alone time to focus on our relationship. Life can get busy, so it felt special to slow down and really invest in preparing for our marriage blessing. The course was very welcoming as a space where we could reflect on important topics like communication, expectations, intimacy, and faith. It wasn’t just lectures, and it included moments of humor, and shared stories from married couples that made the material feel real.
Overall, this was such a valuable experience. We spent nearly four hours talking one night just reflecting and deepening our connection! It brought us even closer to each other and God than ever before! Thank you again for guiding us through such a thoughtful and engaging process. – Brianna and Joseph
