Dear Rev Frank, this course was so helpful to get me and my fiancé to talk about important issues before getting married. There were some topics that we had never thought or shared with each other before and it brought us closer together by going through this course and exploring our spirituality. This course was enjoyable because it helped me to feel better prepared to handle the challenges of marriage, such as with the issues worksheet, which gives me a sense of ease and confidence when approaching our wedding. I now have a better understanding of the Catholic Church’s expectations for the sacrament of marriage and feel better prepared to meet those expectations throughout my marriage.
It is for the most part what I thought it would be, but it was helpful to go over everything with my fiancé together. What I have been saying to other couples about this course is that it helped us talk about the important issues before getting married that will help us better know and understand each other as well. It is often hard to do these things on our own, so having this thoughtful, guided course made it a lot easier to have some of these difficult conversations. Thank you for your guidance! – Amanda
Dear Rev Frank, doing the Pre Cana courses was really rewarding to do with my significant other. I really felt that all the questions were asked well and helped us think about all the aspects of marriage and commitment under God. I think doing this course really set us up for a successful marriage. I found that certain topics were very helpful such as the Children, Issues, and Doing My Part sections. I felt that the questions really helped us express some things and be able to talk through them. Those particular topics I personally liked but all the topics can help any couple and help them talk and prepare for the Sacrament of Marriage. – Michal
