This course was extremely helpful in identifying areas where Trevor and I had not had a serious conversation. With me being a nurse, it can be difficult to find time for just us two to talk. This course allowed us to finish all the conversations that we never had. I was extremely happy in the Money conversation, where we talked about each other’s goals and how to ensure that our family is taken care of. This is not something that I am usually interested in but knew we had to discuss it. Also, the children section was extremely important too as we want to raise our kids in God’s house, instilling good values in them. Overall, I was very happy with the course and feel that there isn’t anything unknown or not talked about with Trevor. Wow, this course has really opened my eyes. At first, I was surprised how quickly Savannah and I were into it. We first started talking about the last time we had a real conversation and for a second there, we couldn’t remember. It allowed us to have ‘tougher’ conversations around all the important topics: kids, money, in-laws, etc. I personally felt closer to Savannah just from going through this course. We now have an understanding of one another. One thing in particular, was talking about our parents. We both agreed to have a healthy balance between the two, so we are not neglecting the other. This was a very important topic to me as I know I have a tendency to always want to be with my family. One thing I will say to other couples is take this course serious. It allows the two of you to have open honest conversations without having to argue over things. – Trevor
