Pre-Cana was the part of wedding prep that I was least looking forward to, mostly because I knew we were going to have to be long-distance for part of it and these types of conversations cannot be filled out within a single afternoon. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with our experience with Pre-Cana Online and am so thankful we took the time, even if it did mean the last half would be completed apart from each other.
There were so many questions that I wouldn’t have thought to bring up and so much value that we both found within these 11 conversations. The videos were also helpful, especially the video by Fr. Mike Schmitz on the Sacrament of Marriage. My favorite conversation was definitely “Before We Say I Do” because we both had to take the time to ponder what our wedding vows will actually mean. I think the only improvement that I would suggest is more NFP prep and sex education. Although my fiance and I are blessed with open communication about expectations and a desire to build a Christ-filled intimate life, I know for a fact that Catholic couples need guided conversations surrounding Theology of The Body. – Avila
I really enjoyed all the conversations we had. They touched on several things I had not yet considered and brought us closer together. It also gave us a chance to share our feelings with one another through guided conversations. I feel that this course has aptly prepared us for marriage and led us closer to our goals. It got me excited to be married as well as preparing me for the future.
My favorite conversations were work and leisure and before we say I do. The 12 rules also were a really good reminder, while we had some of those down before this course a few of them we did not think about and were glad to see. Overall, I am glad we took this course and I feel prepared for marriage. – Sabastian.
